Anti-bribery training in Kenya (ABAC)

The Anti-Bribery Act requires private entities to have procedures to prevent bribery, and directors who allow a failure commit an offence. This course trains all staff on the Act, gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, third parties and how to report.

Based in Nairobi, we work with organisations in Kenya, across East Africa and worldwide.

FAQ

Questions about anti-bribery (ABAC) training

Where can I find anti-bribery training in Kenya?

FNJ offers anti-bribery and corruption training for all staff on demand, live virtual or in person, with certificates of completion and an evidence pack showing your procedures operate.

What procedures does the Anti-Bribery Act require?

Section 9 requires procedures appropriate to the size and nature of the entity to prevent bribery. Typical procedures include a policy, gifts and hospitality rules, third-party due diligence, reporting channels and staff training.

How should we handle gifts and hospitality?

Set clear limits and approval rules, keep a register, and refuse anything offered to influence a decision. The course uses scenarios to help staff apply your own policy.

Do we need ISO 37001?

No, certification is voluntary. Some organisations use it to show counterparties and donors that their anti-bribery system meets an international standard. The 2025 edition adds compliance culture and conflicts of interest.

Is there a certificate?

Yes. Every learner who completes the course receives a certificate of completion with a unique number, the course, the date and the hours.
