Choosing a training provider

Why FNJ rather than a training directory

Most corporate training listings in Kenya offer generic, multi-day classroom courses. Compliance training has to match current Kenyan rules and produce records you can show a regulator.

Written for Kenyan law

Each course is built on the rule that applies: POCAMLA and FRC guidance, the CBK Prudential Guidelines, the Anti-Bribery Act, the Data Protection Act and the PBO Regulations.

Updated as rules change

Every course page lists recent developments with their status and a "last reviewed" date, and the course content follows.

Prices you can see

Published rates for every course and format, and a quote builder that shows the total before you submit.

Evidence for your regulator

Certificates of completion, completion reports and course outlines that match what the FRC, CBK, IRA and donors ask to see.

What you receive

Evidence your regulator, auditor and donors can check

Regulators ask organisations to show who was trained, on what and when. Every course ends with the records that answer those questions.

  1. 1
Certificates of completionA certificate with a unique number for every learner who completes the course, stating the course, date and hours. Board certificates can be included in the annual report of directors' training to the CBK.
  2. 2
Knowledge check resultsScores from the short checks at the end of each section, so you can see what learners understood.
  3. 3
Attendance or completion reportWho attended or completed, when, and in which edition.
  4. 4
Course outline and regulatory basisThe content and the rules it addresses, as FRC guidance para 19.1.4(a) and the IRA AML/CFT Guidelines expect.
How it works

FAQ

Questions about corporate training

Is AML/CFT training mandatory for all staff in Kenya?

Yes, for reporting institutions. The POCAML Regulations 2023 require an ongoing employee training programme, and FRC guidance expects training for all employees, including new employees, senior management and the board, on an ongoing basis. Sector regulators such as the IRA add their own requirements.

Can board certificates be used in the annual report of directors' training to the CBK?

Yes. Our board certificates state the course, date and hours, and can be included in the annual report of directors' training that banks and microfinance banks submit to the CBK under the Prudential Guidelines. This applies to on-demand and live courses.

How much does corporate training cost in Kenya?

Our on-demand courses cost KES 8,000 to KES 15,000 per learner, depending on the course. Live and in-person sessions cost KES 5,000 to KES 15,000 per learner per hour, with half price from the 5th hour of a course and 10% off bundles booked live or in person. All prices include taxes; outside Nairobi, travel and accommodation are charged at cost.

Is any of this training free?

Some institutes and regulators run free awareness webinars for professionals. They do not give your organisation sector-specific content, a completion record for every learner or an evidence pack for your regulator, which is what our courses provide.

How long do the courses take?

From 1 hour. On-demand courses take about an hour per course. For live and in-person sessions you choose the length for each course, up to 16 hours in total; in-person sessions run for at least 5 hours.

How do learners get a certificate?

Every learner who completes a course receives a certificate of completion from FNJ with a unique number, the course, the date and the hours.

Where can I find corporate governance training for a bank board in Kenya?

Our corporate governance course for bank boards covers the CBK Prudential Guidelines in force and the changes the CBK proposed in September 2026. It runs at your board meeting or retreat, live virtually or on demand.

How are live and in-person sessions priced?

Live and in-person sessions are priced per learner per hour: KES 5,000 for staff courses (minimum KES 8,000 per learner per course), KES 10,000 for NGO, ethics and fraud courses, KES 12,000 for internal audit, risk and compliance courses, and KES 15,000 for board courses. From the 5th hour of a course, each extra hour is half price. Live sessions run from 1 hour; in-person sessions run for at least 5 hours. Prices are calculated on a minimum of 5 learners, and we prepare a custom proposal for more than 75 learners or more than 16 hours.

How does on-demand access work?

Submit the enrolment form and pay using the details shown. Once payment is confirmed, we email each learner's login within one working day. Learners have 12 months' access and receive a certificate of completion when they finish every section.

Can a live or in-person session be tailored to our organisation?

Yes. Before each live or in-person session we send a short questionnaire about your products, policies, recent findings and incidents, and build the cases around them.

How often should staff be retrained?

Train new staff at onboarding and all staff at least once a year, and again when a relevant law or regulation changes or an audit finds gaps. FRC guidance expects AML/CFT training on an ongoing basis.

Is your data protection training ODPC-accredited?

Our data protection training covers the Data Protection Act 2019 and its regulations and ends with an FNJ certificate of completion. ODPC accreditation is not required to deliver data protection training, and FNJ is not on the ODPC's list of accredited training firms.
